Appetizing spiral buns with cottage cheese without yeast and butter
Surprisingly tender curd snails are relatively small in calories. The secret lies in the absence in the recipe of yeast and oil. But the cottage cheese is used here not only for the filling - it partially replaces the flour. Such pastries will be a great addition to your morning coffee. Blends well with buns and milk.
For cooking you will need:
- cottage cheese - 360 g;
- egg yolks - 4 pcs .;
- soda - 3/4 tsp;
- sugar - 3-4 tbsp .;
- flour - 1-1.5 st.
From the total amount of cottage cheese we separate the fourth part and put in the refrigerator. Later it will be needed for the filling. To the remaining curd add yolks, 1-2 tbsp. sugar, grind until smooth. Add soda, mix again and leave alone for 5 minutes.
Constantly stirring the curd mass, we introduce flour into it. Its quantity can be different and depends on the dryness of the curd. When the dough becomes thick enough, continue to knead it with your hands.Ready dough is sent to the refrigerator for at least 1.5 hours. After we take it out and roll it out in layers of 3-5 mm thickness. One of the layers we grease with grated curd. For convenience, it can be diluted with a spoon of milk, sour cream or even water. Sprinkle cottage cheese with sugar on top and cover with the second layer.
We twist the dough into a tight roll and cut into pieces 1.5 - 2 cm thick. Preparations for curd curls are ready. At the request of one of the sides dipped in sugar, it will be the tip. Then spread on a baking sheet, covered with parchment paper, buns and send to the oven for 15-20 minutes. Baking temperature - 200 C.
Curd snails are ready! They are good even the next day. For a change, you can add nuts, candied fruits, poppies, or pieces of fruit into the filling.
