Armenian nutmeg cake
Armenian nutmeg cakeis a recipe.
- 1 cup 2% milk
- 1 tsp. soda;
- 2 cups of flour;
- 2 tsp. baking powder;
- 2 glasses of brown sugar;
- 170 grams of butter, chilled;
- half a cup of chopped walnuts;
- 1.5 tsp. nutmeg;
- 1 egg.
Mix milk with soda. Pour the flour, baking powder and brown sugar into a food processor and whisk. Add chopped butter and whisk until crumbly crumb. Place half of this mass on the bottom of a round shape covered with baking paper. Hands tamper tightly. In the rest of the mass, add the egg, nutmeg and whisk. Pour in milk mixture and knead the dough. Pour this mixture into the form, put the walnuts on top and bake in the oven preheated to 1750C for 50 minutes. Cool it down.
