Surprisingly, dried squid - everyone's favorite snack for beer - is very easy to cook at home. No rare products are required for this, and it will take relatively little time — only 2-3 hours. If you do not have a special dryer for food, you can cook squids in an ordinary oven at a low temperature. Essential ingredients: • salt, salt; • 1 kg squid.
To make squids easy to clean, lower them into boiling water for 3-5 seconds, then drain the liquid.
We clean each squid from above from the coiled film and remove the insides.
Cut the squid into rings and stripes about 5 mm wide.
Preparing a salted solution.To do this, in 1.5 liters of water at room temperature we dilute 8 tablespoons of salt.
Omit the sliced squid into the salt solution for 5 minutes, then drain the liquid. Squids do not need to wash!
We spread the squid on the grid and turn on the dryer for 2 hours. Rings should dry at 60 degrees. If you dry the squids in the oven, they should be put on a baking sheet. The time and temperature of cooking in this case are similar to the conditions of drying in a special apparatus.
As the squid dries (after 1.5 hours), you should start stirring them periodically.
From 1 kg of wet squid squid, about 150 g of the finished product is obtained. When using squid, frozen by the dry method, the output is about 350 g.
