Forshmak with nuts

Forshmak from herring with nuts is a great option for a festive snack. This fish dish is cooked in just 15 minutes and will occupy a worthy place among the Christmas salads and snacks.

Cooking method:

We cut the herring into small cubes, we squeeze the apple on a medium grater, chop the onion very finely.

Add boiled yolks, squeezed bread from milk and grind into a homogeneous mass. Cover nuts and put soft butter. Beat the mass with a fork until it becomes lighter and airy.

Finely chop proteins and mix in the mixture. We try, pepper and, if necessary, add some salt. If the apple is not sour, add lemon juice or vinegar.

Served on slices of rye bread.

By the way, forshmak can be cooked even faster if you use an electric grinder or meat grinder.
