How to cook salted fern salad

Fern Salad is a popular Chinese dish. It often includes vegetables, meat and fish. Soy sauce, garlic and hot pepper give it a special taste.

Salt Fern Salad

An exotic snack is easy to make at home. If you use a Russian-made fern, you must first boil it or soak it in cold water for 5-6 hours. This is necessary in order to remove excess salt from it, and a slight bitterness inherent in the product. Preparations from China usually do not require additional processing.


  1. Boil until tender fish fillet, then cut it into cubes.
  2. Finely chop the fern and send it to a well heated pan,greased with vegetable oil.
  3. After 3-4 minutes, put the fish to it.
  4. After another 2 minutes, break the egg and pour it into the pan. Mix the ingredients immediately.
  5. Put ready salad on plates, decorate it with canned corn and sesame seeds.

Serve warmly to the table.

Salted Fern Salad Recipe

This vegetable appetizer can be served as a side dish for meat or fish.


  • salted fern - 550 g;
  • carrots - 1 pc .;
  • onion - 1 pc .;
  • soy sauce - 5 tbsp. l .;
  • garlic - 4 cloves;
  • vegetable oil - 15 g;
  • ground hot pepper - 5 g .;
  • a mixture of peppers - 5 g;
  • green onions - to taste.

Warm Salad Recipe:

  1. Boil the fern according to the instructions on the package. Cool it and cut into pieces 7-8 cm long.
  2. Peel the onion and cut it into half rings. Carrots rub on the "Korean" grater.
  3. Fry the onions in vegetable oil until soft. After that, add the fern, and after a couple of minutes, put the carrots. Cook the salad on medium heat for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour into the pan soy sauce, add chopped garlic and ground pepper. Then mix the products.
  5. Put the salad on plates and decorate it with green onion feathers.

You can take this dish with you for a picnic or lunchtime snack.

Hot appetizer with beef and fern

The main component of this dish is beef. Therefore, it can be served as a hearty snack during a holiday or as a main course for a large family on a typical day.


  • beef - 1.5 kg;
  • fern salted - 1 kg;
  • soy sauce - 100 ml;
  • vegetable oil - 60 g;
  • sesame - 50 g;
  • ground pepper - to taste.


  1. Treat the fern as indicated on the package. Cut it into pieces 2-3 cm.
  2. Beef cut into strips and fry in vegetable oil until cooked.
  3. Add the fern to the meat and pepper the appetizer.
  4. After 5 minutes, pour the soy sauce and cook another 2 minutes.

Garnish with sesame salad before serving.

Fern appetizers can be served as a side dish or main course.
