How to make a liver-mushroom cake with pita bread
You will need
- - pita bread;
- - 500 g of chicken liver;
- - 1 PC. onions;
- - 1 PC. carrots;
- - mushrooms;
- - processed cheese;
- - pickles;
First you need to prepare a liver pate. We need it in order to smear the cake. First you should fry the chicken liver. Add salt and pepper to taste, and then slightly chopped nutmeg.
Peel and wash the onions. Finely chop it and fry until it turns golden. As soon as it is fried, add the finely chopped carrots and fry the whole mass until it is soft.
Grind the liver, onions and carrots to a state of pate. You can, for example, use a blender for this purpose. If small pieces of liver get caught in the pate, there will be nothing terrible about it.
Separately, you need to fry mushrooms with onions. To taste, add salt to them.
Now is the time to do the foundation for our cake.Depending on its shape, cut the pita bread in circles or into squares. Smear the melted cheese on the first layer of pita bread, and put on it mushrooms with onions that you have just fried.
Put another sheet of pita bread and spread it with liver pate, which you prepared in a blender at the previous stages. Put thinly sliced pickled cucumbers on the pate.
Then just alternate the layers. The third layer will again be processed cheese, the fourth - the liver mass with cucumbers. Theoretically, the layers can be arbitrarily many, but do not overdo it so that the cake does not come out too high. The topmost layer can be smeared with melted cheese and garnished with herbs and walnuts.
For about 1.5 hours, the cake should soak in, after which it can be served.
