How to make a rabat in the garden

The width of the ridge most often is 40-50 cm, in rare cases up to 1.5 meters, but the length can be absolutely any. In order to prevent stagnation of water, the surface of the ridge is made even, on clay and loamy soils - convex in the center.
One-sided rabatki create at the tracks and near the walls of buildings. Bilateral flower beds can separate alleys and passages. The symmetry of rabatok is mainly determined by the architectural design and the future pattern of the plant pattern.
First, the rabatku should be drawn on paper, think over the pattern of flowers that will be sown. Then you should prepare the chosen place. There are no special differences between the ordinary flowerbed and the bedblock, therefore the soil is prepared in exactly the same way: it is deeply dug, cleared of weeds and roots, carefully loosened and leveled.
The floral pattern can be of any shape, but first you should gain experience using the simplest patterns: stripes, zigzags, geometric lines.
If a very large territory is set aside for work, it is rational to make a section into small beds. For registration of a long flower bed suitable low perennial or annual plants that bloom for a long period and do not require special complex care.
Ravatki look very nice with small spring plants. Subsequently, they can plant annual flowers. The color scheme can be a contrast: blue with yellow, white with red, purple with orange or monophonic.
The highest plants are planted in the center of the ridge, with the lower ones being placed to the edge.
