If children do not want to share

The first stage will be the maximum reduction in the likelihood of quarrels. Together with the older child, divide the toys into two categories: toys that are dear to him (1) and toys that he can share (2). Make the older child play with toys (1) out of sight of the youngest. Hide those toys that may break or damage the baby.

When a quarrel begins, calm the children and talk to the elder. Explain to him that the baby is reaching for his toys because of curiosity, and not to make him angry. Say that sharing is really difficult, but being greedy is not good either, because then no one will play with him at all.

Together with your children, find a variety of problem-solving methods. It is important that the children themselves find a way out of such conflict situations. Such an option is possible: the younger takes the ball from the older one, and the older one brings him another ball and takes his own.

It is important to teach the older child to quietly refuse the baby, without shouting, swearing or tears.

Both children should be able to play not only with each other, but also separately from each other. A great option is to make the children spend time together, but engage in various activities. For example, while the eldest child is playing, read the younger tale. Also a good deed will be participation in the game.
