New life to old blinds: great master class

Blinds are installed on a window of a specific size. And if you suddenly decide to move, or hang new curtains, most likely the old blinds will no longer be useful. In addition, the blinds can bend or break, after which they are also uncomfortable to use. But the author of the master class decided to make them the curtain of the original design, and the result pleased her.

To breathe new life into old blinds, you will need:

  • PVA glue;
  • scissors;
  • dimity;
  • brush or sponge;
  • iron;
  • roulette;
  • pen or marker;
  • clothespins;
  • paper or cover (lay on the floor)

Carefully cut the threads connecting the blinds. You need to leave the wrong part of the whole, as it is useful in the new curtain.

Measure the height of your future curtains, and remove excess slats. You need to leave a few pieces, evenly distributed throughout the length.

Excess strips can be removed by breaking off their edges. Clean them very carefully so as not to damage the threads.

Lay the fabric face down on the floor, placing on it what is left of the blinds. Along the edges should be 2-3 centimeters of fabric.

Bend the fabric and secure the edges with the iron. From the bottom and top also leave allowances for bending.

Cut off excess fabric.

In order for the new curtain to look neater, remove the fastening plugs and cover them with a cloth. To do this, you will need to make small slots in the corners.

Properly coat the fabric and guides with white glue. Glue the fabric to the frame and secure it with clothespins.

Glue the bottom edge of the fabric.

Do not remove the clothespins until your curtain completely dries.

Curtain can be hung on the window. It looks more comfortable than ordinary blinds. And you can choose any shade and pattern.
