Organic fishing lures with their own hands

Probably every lover of fishing is faced with the choice of bait that it is better to take with you. I propose to try a simple recipe for making homemade, organic and biodegradable bait, which I use for more than one year. This bait contains an enzyme, so it lures fish perfectly.

Making baits requires the most common products that are almost certainly in every home:
  • 150 grams of water.
  • 4 bags of gelatin.

When all the ingredients are collected, you can start making the bait.3/4 cups of water is poured into a small saucepan or other metal container.

Since I’m not making such lures for the first time, I already have ready form. It can be made very simply from building silicone.

Having filled, I put it in the freezer on 10–15 minutes. When the mixture hardens properly, I take out the form, take off the finished bait, and then repeat the process again.

From what scrap materials can you make molds for pouring?

You can use ordinary plastic cocktail tubes for casting bait. Do-it-yourself Organic Fishing Lures
The only problem with these forms - liquid gelatin flows from them. I solved this problem as follows:
  • I cut the tubes in half, to get a lot of low straw.
    • I connect them with a rubber band.

    • I pour warm gelatine mix into a glass.

    • I put the tubes in there, they are filled with gelatin.
    • I put art kan in the fridge. After hardening gelatin pull the bait out of the tubes. Most often, the frozen pieces of gelatin pop out of the cocktail tubes easily (I push them out with a thick knitting needle), but some have to be cut,to get the content.

Tip! Keep ready-made baits in the fridge if they are not used for a long time. I’m not saying that the method I suggested allows you to get the best bait. Moreover, the process is quite tedious. But if you have small children, you can attract them - for them it will be a fun game for getting gelatin worms.
