What symptoms indicate a fracture?

Fracture - violation of the integrity of the bone. The symptoms of a fracture can be reliable, that is, clearly indicate that a bone deformity has occurred, and relative - doubtful when making a diagnosis. So what are the symptoms that signal themselves in the first minute after an injury, and which only indirectly indicate bone damage?
It is possible to reliably diagnose a fracture if the arm or leg assumes an unnatural position in the case of a limb injury. The second sign is the mobility of the broken part in the place where there is no joint. If a crunch is heard, and fragments of bone are visible in the wound, this clearly indicates a fracture, exactly like shortening or lengthening of the injured area.
Of the relative signs of a fracture, pain can be called at the site of the alleged injury. With axial load, the pain may increase.Puffiness at the site of the fracture plays a minor role in the diagnosis, as it accompanies other types of damage. But at a fracture, it occurs very quickly - within a quarter of an hour after the injury. Hematomas may not be, but most often it does occur. When it pulses, we can conclude that the bleeding will continue.
The symptom of a fracture is limiting mobility. As a rule, the damaged part either does not function at all or retains partial mobility. If a person has a tailbone broken, then it will be difficult for him to walk, since not only the damaged part stops functioning, but also those that come into contact with it. In addition to these signs, there are others that may indicate a closed or open type of fracture. An open fracture is much easier to diagnose, whereas in making a correct diagnosis with a closed fracture, you will need the help of a specialist and an x-ray machine.
With a closed fracture, the soft tissues are not damaged. Only bones and joints suffer: their position changes or integrity is lost - a split with preservation of the previous position. The first symptoms of a closed fracture are pain in the area of damage and swelling of the soft tissues. The patient cannot move due to severe pain, and bone movement is observed at the site of injury. A hematoma is often formed, but the final diagnosis can only be made after an x-ray.
Symptoms of fracture can be shock and paralysis, if the nerve trunks were damaged by bone fragments. Absorption of decay products of injured tissue may be accompanied by impaired renal function. In this case, a large amount of protein, fat droplets and blood cells appear in the urine. The temperature may even rise to 38-39 ° C.
